^SITUATION

Draper Esprit is a leading venture capital firm which invests in and develops high-growth digital technology businesses. Currently based in England and Ireland, they have plans to expand internationally.

CHALLENGE

We created a comprehensive market map and made a shortlist of VC/ Growth Equity professionals. But after doing that, we realised these candidates lacked the operational experience and non- UK expertisen needed for Draper Esprit’s growth.

SOLUTION

We started again and conducted an extensive sourcing exercise. We were then able to create a shortlist of founder profiles with a strong operational focus.

Outcome.

In March 2020, our candidate Christoph Hornung joined Draper Esprit as an Investment Director. Christoph brings with him close to a decade’s experience in investment, venture capitalism and entrepreneurship in the German market.
